Known for its breathtaking mountain panoramas and sandstone cliffs, Zion National Park is the third most visited national park in the United States. This is Ma'wa Collective's longest domestic trip offered to date, with multiple hikes and nature activities planned in the itinerary. Excursions and hike within the Park will be led by professional tour operators, activities, AND transportation are all INCLUDED with registration.

This 5-day, 4-night trip in and around Zion National and is suitable for both Beginner and Advanced groups as we will have alternative options in the itinerary. Our group trip will accommodate 18 people.
Accommodation:
There is one large home reserved for this trip with 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a different configuration of single queen beds and shared king beds - you may register for your preferred sleeping arrangement via our booking platform.
The lodging reserved for this trip is located in Hurricane, Utah - about a 2.5 hour drive from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Participants should be prepared for some driving/commuting over the course of the weekend to reach the hikes and activities planned in the itinerary.
Trip Activities + Difficulty Level:
The hikes planned are not too difficult and can be done by those with strong physical fitness and ability to complete hikes with incline. We will be joined by guides from Land Beyond Zion Tours for two full days.
Itinerary highlights include:
Sand Boarding at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes (included with registration)
Scout Lookout Hike and/or Emerald Pools Trail in Zion (included with registration)
Guided tour of the petroglyph wall and Grafton Ghost Town (included with registration)
Hike to the start of the Narrows (included with registration)
The Narrows (optional activity depending on weather + additional cost)
Advanced: Hike Angels Landing (optional activity for advanced participants + additional cost to cover permits and extra guide)
We will have an option to hike the Narrows and Angels Landing that is not included in our registration but will be available as an "add-on" for all participants. We will also have personal time for our participants to explore the surrounding areas including Bryce National Park and Kolob Canyon.
Note: Our itinerary may be subject to slight changes throughout the weekend due to delays, weather, or factors outside of our control.
Note: All Ma'wa Collective trips are considered group trips. Unless otherwise noted in the Itinerary or by a Trip Lead, you are expected to remain with your group at all times. Participants are not permitted to leave the group and engage in activities outside the published itinerary. Any participant found in violation of this may be subject to dismissal from the trip and/or future Ma'wa Collective trips.

Trip Lead
Nadah is an Egyptian Muslim-American woman who grew up with a love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, and most recently mountaineering. She’s visited 27 national parks across the US and completed treks to Everest Base Camp, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia, and received a scholarship to summit Glacier Peak in Washington state this past summer with Climbers of Color. She is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible to others in her community which is how the idea for Ma’wa was born.
