Escape to a cozy cabin weekend hiking trip near Hunter Mountain, New York, for a rejuvenating three-day, two-night girls' getaway. Spend your days hiking scenic trails, relaxing in the cabins hot tub in the evening, and exploring the charming local area. We'll be reflecting together by the firepit under the stars each evening, join us and create unforgettable memories with your sisters in the beauty of the Catskill Mountains inshaAllah! While this trip is catered to women that are local to the New England area, if you are flying in please note that you are responsible for landing earlier in the day on Friday and flying out late on Sunday and either coordinating rentals with other out-of-state girls or joining an existing carpool. We have a group chat that we typically use to coordinate logistics and carpools.

We have a spacious cabin reserved near Hunter Mountain that fits 18 people for this 3 day/2 night trip and it is around a 2.5 hr drive from NYC and a 3.5 hour drive from Boston. When you click RSVP above, you will be taken to our booking platform to fill out the registration form. You will also be asked to submit the initial $100 non-refundable deposit (which covers part of the total trip cost) to confirm your spot. Please note: this trip will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and most of our trips fill up within a few days.

Nadah is an Egyptian Muslim-American woman who grew up with a love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, and most recently mountaineering. She’s visited 27 national parks across the US and completed treks to Everest Base Camp, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia, and received a scholarship to summit Glacier Peak in Washington state this past summer with Climbers of Color. She is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible to others in her community which is how the idea for Ma’wa was born.
