Embark on the renowned Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu, a captivating 9-day adventure combining history, wildlife, and awe-inspiring scenery. This iconic trek spans approximately 26 miles (42 km), showcasing diverse Andean environments such as cloud forests and alpine tundra. Along the trail, you'll encounter remarkable biodiversity, with chances to spot orchids, foxes, Peru's national bird, the cock-of-the-rock, spectacled bears, deer, and a plethora of flora and fauna. En route to Machu Picchu, you'll also encounter impressive Inca ruins like Wiñay Wayña and Phuyupatamarca. For an additional off-the-beaten-path experience, delve into the Ausangate trek, leading to the breathtaking "Rainbow Mountain."

Nadah is an Egyptian Muslim-American woman who grew up with a love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, and most recently mountaineering. She’s visited 27 national parks across the US and completed treks to Everest Base Camp, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia, and received a scholarship to summit Glacier Peak in Washington state this past summer with Climbers of Color. She is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible to others in her community which is how the idea for Ma’wa was born.
